Alchemy Evil

A limited-time event under Hot Events. You spend stamina to summon an alchemist boss on the map, then send a march to kill it. Each kill unlocks the next level. The Solo tab is yours alone; the Alliance tab is for the whole alliance. The ? bubble beside the event title explains both.

Solo levels

  • Each level costs 10 stamina: 5 to summon the boss and 5 to attack it. Stamina is its own counter at the top of the event window, separate from your other energy.
  • Stamina refills slowly, roughly 1 every 4 minutes, so a level costs about 40 minutes of waiting. If you would rather not wait, stamina packs refill it.
  • Level completion rewards are issued after the event ends, not when you kill each boss. Skipping a level means skipping its reward.
  • A summoned boss stays on the map for about two hours, so you can summon first and attack a few minutes later when stamina catches up.
  • Attack with your strongest setup. A full army and your best generals killed every solo level up to 16 in a single march, including the level 10 Leader of Alchemists.

Recommended strategy: rally levels 40 to 50

  • Attack levels 3 to 39 on your own. From level 40 to level 50, press Rally instead of Attack. A rally lets your whole alliance join the fight, so everyone earns rewards, not just you.
  • The attack dialog offers Attack and Rally at the same stamina cost, so rallying costs you nothing extra.
  • Tell your alliance when you reach level 40 so they are ready to join each rally. Summon the next boss only once the last rally has finished.
  • It is not yet known whether rallies are limited or whether levels past 50 can still be rallied. Keep rallying while the game allows it.

An alliance boss fight, also called the Underworld Challenge. An R4 or R5 opens the gates, and everyone has 30 minutes to defeat the villain with rallies. Underworld Keys donated beforehand give the alliance damage buffs for the fight. Every member who donates a key or joins a rally gets rewards.

Before the event

  • Underworld Keys come from Red Guard Camp chests, so join Red Guard Camp rallies every day to build up keys before the event.
  • Donate your keys at the Underworld Gates in alliance territory. The gates open without them, but keys add damage buffs for the whole alliance, so every key helps.
  • Donate at least 1 key even if you can’t be online for the fight. That alone qualifies you for the Victory rewards.
  • Note the start time in UTC and be online a few minutes early.
  • Rally leaders: move your city close to the gates so your marches are short.
  • Build your rally formation in the Drill Ground before the gates open. Cavalry and Distance troops, led by your Cavalry and Distance guards, do the most damage to the villain. Keep Infantry and Artillery as backup if those run out.
  • R4 and R5: announce the start time a day or more ahead, and pick a time when most members are online. If members span many time zones, rotate the start time between events.
  • R4 and R5: each villain you defeat unlocks a stronger one with more health. Pick the villain by how many members will show up, not the strongest one available.

During the event

  • Start or join rallies for the full 30 minutes. Solo attacks earn no rewards.
  • Only one march can be rallying or joined in a rally at a time, so the job is simple. Rally leader: launch one rally, and launch the next the moment your march is home. Rally joiner: join a rally, and join the next one as soon as your march is back.
  • Many small rallies beat one big one. The 5-minute rally timer is what slows the alliance down, so keep new rallies starting.
  • What a real run looked like (Madame Spider, Easy): five rallies in about 13 minutes, roughly 15 million damage each, and the leader’s own march did about 75% of it with one or two joiners making up the rest. A strong leader formation counts for more than a crowd, but every extra joiner still earns Victory and Damage rewards.
  • Send your saved Drill Ground formation with every rally so you aren’t picking troops by hand against the clock. If you run out of Cavalry and Distance troops, keep rallying with Infantry and Artillery.

After the event

  • Rewards arrive by system mail. Victory rewards go to everyone who donated or rallied. Damage rewards are ranked by your rally damage and include gunpowder, speedups and resources.
  • Spend the gunpowder in the Strategy Center.
  • R4 and R5: thank the people who showed up, post the next start time, and choose the next villain based on this round’s turnout.

Preparing

  • Stockpile speedups and resources a few days before a big event.
  • Check the Event Center during the event to track your rank and adjust your push.
  • Use the Hall of War for alliance team raids.
